WVU coach Neal Brown suspends 11 players for opener against Eastern Kentucky

An hour before kickoff against Eastern Kentucky, West Virginia coach Neal Brown announced he suspended 11 players for violation of team rules, including four who are listed No. 1 on the depth chart.

Those suspended include tight end T.J. Banks and his top backup Mike O’Lauglin, wide receiver T.J. Simmons, center Chase Behrndt and offensive left tackle Junior Uzebu.

Also suspended are offensive linemen Zach Davis and Tairiq Stewart, wide receivers Zack Dobson and Isaiah Esdale, long snapper JP Hadley and cornerback David Vincent-Okloli.
