During his record-setting career at West Virginia, defensive tackle Dante Stills evolved from a freshman All-American in 2018 to a four-time All-Big 12 selection. He was second-team all-conference in 2019 and 2020, rising to first team in 2021 and 2022.

All those months in the weight room, at practice and Saturday game days at Mountaineer Field paid off when he was drafted in the sixth round by the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.

Stills (6-foot-4, 285 pounds) played in a school-record 58 games, with 36 starts. His 52 1/2 tackles for a loss — almost one per game over the course of his career — are tops in WVU football history, and his 23 1/2 sacks are fourth.

He might have carved a path toward an NFL paycheck when he ran a 4.85-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
