Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are headed to another Super Bowl appearance after turning back the Kansas City Chiefs 37-31 Sunday night.

Tony Romo probably saw that coming.

The CBS analyst drew lots of praise for calling plays before they they happened. He showed a great knack for looking at the Chiefs defensive scheme and assuming Brady saw the same, then calling the play that Brady ran for a big offensive gain.

Romo dialed in several of the big plays that the Patriots pulled off in their fourth-quarter drive to take a late lead. And the Pats’ overtime drive to win the game.

In the fourth quarter, when Rob Gronkowski lined up wide one-on-one against a defender late in the fourth quarter, Romo said you have go to Gronk. Brady threw to Gronk. On the next play from the 4-yard line, Romo said they should run the ball for the score. Brady handed off to Rex Burkhead for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter.

In overtime, Romo foresaw another big Gronk reception and Burkhead’s winning td rush.

Jack Korte, a sports reporter from WPTZ-TV in Burlington, Vt. put together a compilation of Romo’s calls:

Here’s another clip predicting a pass to Julian Edelman on an overtime play.

NFLonCBS account also posted a clip:

Romo former Cowboys teammate Dez Bryant threw him some praise:

As did wide receiver Denver Bronco’s wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders

And former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

And MLB’s free-agent of the moment Bryce Harper posted to say Romo’s going to predict where he signs.

Romo became a star for CBS Sports when he started along side Jim Nantz in 2017. And there will be more Romo in two weeks as CBS has this year’s Super Bowl featuring the Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.
