In another salary cap move made Friday by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team released wide receiver Allen Robinson, who had one year left on his contract.

The move, listed on the league’s transactions page, , will save $10 million in salary and room on the cap for the Steelers. The team will carry a $1,917,500 hit in dead money against the cap.

Robinson, 30, was the second veteran player let go Friday that the Steelers added last offseason. The Steelers also released cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Robinson was acquired in a trade last offseason with the Los Angeles Rams and provided a veteran presence in the locker room. His production, however, did not match the salary he was scheduled to earn this year. A 10-year veteran, Robinson started all 17 games but had only 34 receptions for 280 yards and no touchdowns.

The Steelers previously released safety Keanu Neal, tackle Chuks Okorafor, center Mason Cole, quarterback Mitch Trubisky and punter Pressley Harvin III.

In a minor roster move, the Steelers have re-signed nose tackle Breiden Fehoko, who did not appear in a game with the team last season.
