A day after he was added to the injury report, Pat Freiermuth returned to full participation at Pittsburgh Steelers practice and was cleared to play in Sunday’s game at the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Steelers’ starting tight end, Freiermuth was listed as limited on the league-mandated injury report for Thursday because of a calf injury. Freiermuth has had a touchdown each of the past two games to take over the Steelers’ lead in receiving scores this season with two.

Freiermuth will remain one of four tight ends active Sunday because veteran MyCole Pruitt will miss a fourth consecutive game because of a knee injury. Pruitt returned to practice this week but remained limited throughout.

Starting outside linebacker Alex Highsmith similarly this week returned to practice — also, limited — but also will miss a third consecutive game. Highsmith has a groin injury.

Four other players were announced as “out” for the Raiders game after not practicing at all this week: safety Damontae Kazee (ankle), outside linebacker Nick Herbig (hamstring), running back Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) and defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal (neck).

Coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday had said Kazee was “doubtful” to play Sunday but had already listed other three as out.

Quarterback Russell Wilson (calf) was given a clear bill of health on a Friday for the first time during this regular season, and running back Jaylen Warren (knee) was listed as questionable after making it through a full practice Friday.
