Robert Morris received its first bit of good news since the cancellation of the NCAA Tournament when Tyson Brown, a 6-foot-9 forward from Virginia Beach, Va., pledged to enroll this year.

Brown played at Kempsville High School before transferring to Massanutten Military Academy for his post-graduate year.

He has offers from Fairfield and Towson, and is attracting interest from Old Dominion, N.C. State and James Madison, among other schools.

Robert Morris loses three seniors – Josh Williams, Yannis Mendy and Sayveon McEwen – from a team that earlier this month won the Northeast Conference Tournament and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament before it was canceled.

In November, coach Andy Toole signed three players — all guards — who will join the team this year:

Enoch Cheeks of Providence, R.I.; Kam Farris of Burlington, Vt., and Trayden Williams of Charlotte, N.C.
