If a college football season is actually played this fall, Robert Morris will take a Hawaiian vacation in the middle of it.

The University of Hawaii announced Monday that it will play host to the Colonials on Sept. 26.

Hawaii is looking for opponents after Fordham canceled a scheduled Sept. 12 game and the Pac 12 pulled out of all nonconference games, stripping matchups with Arizona, Oregon and UCLA from the Rainbow Warriors’ schedule.

It will be the first meeting between the programs.

When Robert Morris originally announced its 2020 schedule in April, that week was a bye week.

Robert Morris will play as an independent this season after pulling out of the Northeast Conference last month. The Colonials will play football in the Big South in 2021.

They’re scheduled to face VMI, Bowling Green and Dayton as well as eight NEC opponents this season. If any of those plans have changed due to the conference switch or coronavirus pandemic, Robert Morris has yet to announce them.
