Pirates farm report for June 5, 2025: Nick Solak homers, drives in 5 for Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 33-25) outslugged Memphis (Cardinals), 10-9. DH Nick Solak (.402) went 3 for 5 with a solo home run, his seventh, and five RBIs. LF Nick Yorke (.281) went 3 for 5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. 1B Billy Cook (.237) went 2 for 3 with a double, run scored, RBI and two stolen bases. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.215) went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base. RHP Bubba Chandler (2.49) started and went two innings before a rain delay, giving up three runs on four hits with a walk and a strikeout. RHP Dauri Moreta (4.66) didn’t record an out and gave up two runs on two hits and a walk. RHP Eddy Yean (3-2, 3.57) worked 2⅓ scoreless innings to pick up the win. RHP Yohan Ramirez (3.86) pitched two scoreless to earn his third save.

Next: Friday at Memphis (Cardinals), 8:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 24-30) were held to three hits, all singles, in a 2-0 loss to New Hampshire (Rockies). 1B Nick Cimillo (.230) went 1 for 3 with a walk, SS Kervin Pichardo (.231) went 1 for 4 and C Wyatt Hendrie (.143) was 1 for 3. RHP Wilber Dotel (1-2, 3.62) started and went 5⅓ innings, giving up six hits and two runs. He struck out seven. RHP Wilkin Ramos (1.69) threw 1⅔ scoreless innings and RHP Cam Sanders (1.59) pitched a scoreless eighth.

Next: Friday at New Hampshire (Rockies), 6:35 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 35-18) lost to Hub City (Rangers), 7-4. 3B Keiner Delgado (.258) went 2 for 4, scored a run, drove in another and hit his fourth home run of the year. 2B Duce Gourson went 1 for 3, scored a run, plated two and slammed his ninth homer. 2B Kalae Harrison (.188) went 1 for 1 and scored a run. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.288) went 1 for 3 and doubled. RHP Khristian Curtis (1-4, 5.97) started and pitched 3⅔ innings, surrendering two runs and a home run on three hits. LHP Hunter Furtado (6.00) worked two scoreless innings and RHP Brandan Bidois (0.00) pitched a scoreless ninth.

Next: Friday vs. Hub City (Rangers), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 25-29) split a doubleheader with Clearwater (Phillies).

In the first game, a 9-1 win for the Marauders, SS Konnor Griffin went 3 for 5 with three RBIs and a run scored, 2B Wyatt Sanford went 3 for 5 and scored a run and C Axiel Plaz (.281) went 2 for 3 with a double, his ninth home run and three RBIs. CF Braylon Bishop went 1 for 2 with a walk and two runs scored. LF Joel Mendez went 1 for 3 and had two RBIs and two runs scored. LHP Victor Cabreja (5-0, 3,38) started and went five innings, allowing three hits and one home run. RHP David Matoma (3.71) pitched two scoreless innings.

In Game 2, a 5-4 win for Clearwater, LF Eddy Rodriguez (.220) hit his third home run of the year as a part of a 2 for 4 effort at the plate. Griffin (.330) went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Sanford (.385) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. CF Will Taylor (.326) went 1 for 4, C Derek Berg (.219( went 1 for 2 and scored a run, and 1B Jeral Toledo (.213) had one hit, two walks and one run scored. RHP Matt Ager (0-4, 6.93) started and went 3⅓ innings, allowing four runs on six hits. RHP Greiber Mendez (4.05) threw 2⅔ innings of scoreless relief.
