Penn State coach James Franklin received verbal commitments from two prospects Friday when four-star wide receiver Jaden Dottin and junior college defensive back Ji’Ayir Brown pledged to enroll next year and announced their intentions on Twitter.

Dottin, 6-foor-3, 185 pounds, is the 53rd-ranked wide receiver in the nation and the No. 4 overall prospect in Connecticut, according to Rivals.com. He is a rising senior at Suffield Academy.

Brown, 6-foot, 205 pounds, attends Lackawanna College in Scranton where he is a teammate of Penn State commit Norval Black, a wide receiver who pledged to the Nittany Lions on June 9.

Penn State’s current class of committed players numbers 11. Seven are four-stars, according to Rivals, which ranks Penn State’s class 24th nationally, fifth in the Big Ten.
