A look at how players with connections to the Pittsburgh Penguins have done in the ongoing International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship Tournament:

Two goals by Penguins forward Drew O’Connor, including the opening score, led the United States to a 9-0 rout of France in a preliminary round game at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland, on Sunday.

Primarily deployed as the United States’ second-line center, O’Connor logged 14:49 of ice time on 18 shifts and was 9 for 19 (47.4%) in faceoffs.

Penguins forward Nick Bonino, who is the United States’ captain and has been used as the team’s top center until Sunday, was scratched for undisclosed reasons.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Justin Addamo, a Robert Morris product, had 16:59 of ice time on 24 shifts and was 7 for 17 (41.1%) on faceoffs.

Highlights:

The United States’ next game is against Sweden on Tuesday, 9:20 a.m. (EDT).

France’s next game is against Germany, 5:20 a.m. (EDT).
