Led by 2023 No. 1 overall pick Paul Skenes, the Pittsburgh Pirates have six players ranked among MLB Pipeline’s updated top 100 prospects.

Skenes, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound right-handed pitcher from LSU who made his professional debut Thursday in the Florida Complex League, is ranked the No. 3 overall prospect.

The only players ahead of Skenes are 2022 No. 1 overall pick Jackson Holliday, a Double-A shortstop for the Baltimore Orioles, and Jackson Chourio, a Double-A outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Joining Skenes in the MLB Pipeline top 100:

• High-A Greensboro second baseman Termarr Johnson, the Pirates’ first-round pick last year, is ranked No. 23.

• Pirates catcher Endy Rodriguez, who has played in 21 major-league games since making his debut July 17, is ranked No. 42.

• Triple-A Indianapolis right-hander Jared Jones, a 2020 second-round pick, entered the rankings for the first time at No. 75.

• Double-A Altoona left-hander Anthony Solometo, a 2021 second-rounder, jumped 10 spots to No. 90.

• Pirates righty Quinn Priester, who also debuted July 17, dropped from No. 67 on June 26 to No. 99.

Pirates right fielder/catcher Henry Davis, who made his MLB debut June 19 and has played in 43 major-league games, was No. 31 in the previous rankings but has graduated from prospect status.

With Skenes, Johnson, Rodriguez, Jones, Solometo and Priester forming the Pirates’ top six prospects, second baseman Nick Gonzales, shortstop Liover Peguero and Greensboro right-handed pitchers Bubba Chandler and Thomas Harrington round out their top 10.
