The result dropped Blomqvist’s record to 5-3-2.
Defenseman Ryan Graves scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (23-10-1-2).

Forward Connor Lockhard had a goal and two assists for Wheeling (24-7-1-0), which extended a winning streak to four games, while forward Logan Pietila added a goal and an assist.
Pittsburgh Penguins defensive prospect Emil Pieniniemi, a third-round draft pick (No. 91 overall) in 2023, scored his first professional goal (and point) in North America.
