Former Laurel Highlands star Rodney Gallagher is hitting the transfer portal.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound receiver played three seasons for West Virginia, totaling 64 catches for 605 yards and three touchdowns. This past season, he caught 28 balls for 243 yards. The versatile Gallagher also rushed 45 times for 221 yards in his Mountaineers career and played defensive back on a limited basis in 2024.
In high school, Gallagher was the 2022-23 Trib HSSN Boys Athlete of the Year. Playing quarterback for most of his senior season, he threw for 1,272 yards and 13 touchdowns and ran for 690 yards and 11 more scores. He also averaged 22.7 points per game on the basketball court.
