Derry’s Chelsea Bisi earns offensive honor for Penn State softball team

Penn State freshman Chelsea Bisi was named the softball team’s Offensive Player of the Year.

The Derry graduate, who had two doubles Saturday against Indiana, hit .319 with 46 hits, 10 doubles, 13 home runs and a team-high 37 RBIs.

Her 10 doubles also were a team high, and her 13 home runs tied Toni Polk for the team lead.

Bisi was named to the Tribune-Review Terrific 10 All-Star team three times.
