Letter to the editor: End the hate and vote for what works

Today much of the media and far too many individuals are spewing largely unsubstantiated hate for one political party or the other, while at the same time, many millions the world over celebrate the birth of a child in Bethlehem, thousands of years ago, as a symbol of love and peace, specifically to “love one another as he has loved you.”

Regardless of your beliefs, this message hits home today. Can’t we disagree without the accusations, venom and partial truths, but with open minds, more complete facts and “love of neighbor”? To hate or blame President Biden or President Trump misses the fact that these are but two fellow Americans who tried, or are now trying, to do their best, during a difficult time, to manage our unique democratic republic.

We can decide whose efforts and policies and programs work better without spewing partial truths and hate. Or, today in the USA, you could simply vote for the party that favors capitalism or the one that favors socialism. You have the choice.
