A teen rapper who three years ago notoriously made a music video while on the run from police was found guilty of murder Friday.

Taymor “Tay-K” McIntyre, 19, faces five to 99 years behind bars after a jury convicted him of murder, but not the more serious crime of capital murder, stemming from a 2016 robbery. The rapper pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery at the beginning of the trial, but insisted he wasn’t guilty of capital murder.

According to NBC News Dallas affiliate KXAS, McIntyre was accused of participating in a home invasion that led to the death of a 21 year-old man.

The defense didn’t call any witnesses.

The man who shot Walker was sentenced last year to life in prison. Prosecutors have said McIntyre was charged with murder because he recruited the triggerman and organized the robbery, The Associated Press reported.

McIntyre had previously been the target of a nationwide manhunt and prosecutors allege that he killed a photographer and assaulted a man while he was on the lam, the KXAS reported.

During that time, he recorded the infamous rap video “The Race” that has 173 million views on YouTube. In that video, he waves a gun in front of a real-life wanted poster of himself.

The video was released the same day he was captured in New Jersey.
