It’s official — President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have agreed to take the debate stage together, and their first matchup is coming soon.

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that the two presidential candidates agreed to hold two campaign debates in June and September, and the first will be on June 27 hosted by CNN.

Trump said he was “Ready and Willing to Debate” Biden at the proposed times in a post on Trump’s Truth Social site. Hours later, Biden said he accepted an invitation from CNN to a debate on June 27, adding, “Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, anytime, any place.”

Of course, social media reacted.

“Biden and Trump” has been trending on the social media platform X since the announcement.

Users discussed the news and what might happen during the first debate.

Others brought up the exclusion of Robert Kennedy Jr.

The location of the debate and who should moderate brought further discussion.
