A Montgomery County woman found at home with her parents’ dismembered bodies was charged Wednesday with killing them, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office.

Police found the bodies of a 73-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman in a home in the 1100 block of Beverly Road with their daughter, 49-year-old Verity Beck, authorities said.

Police came to the Abington Township home after a family member asked officers to check on the welfare of the couple, authorities said. Police found Beck with her parents’ bodies in various states of dismemberment at the home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Police said a chainsaw was near one of the bodies. Several guns were in the home, authorities said.

Each of the parents was fatally shot in the head, authorities said. Beck was charged with two open counts of criminal homicide and sent to county prison without bail.

WPVI Channel 6 identified the victims as Reid and Miriam Beck. Miriam Beck is a former Lower Moreland High School nurse.
