The office of Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro partnered with several banks to help Pennsylvanians who face financial hardships as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Banks participating in the PA Care Package initiative will offer a 90-day grace period for mortgages, auto loans and other consumer loans. They will waive overdraft fees and similar fines for 90 days, and hold off on foreclosures, evictions and vehicle repossessions for 60 days.

None of these measures will negatively affect the credit scores of those who benefit from them, according to the attorney general’s office.

PA Care Package was implemented to bring the state in line with the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act implemented late last month, while introducing additional protections not included in the federal bill, according to Shapiro.

“Pennsylvanians need to stay focused on keeping their families safe and healthy and these efforts by banks and financial institutions will provide important relief,” Shapiro said in a statement.

The following banks are participating:

  • Citizens Bank
  • Clearview Federal Credit Union
  • Dollar Bank
  • First Commonwealth Bank
  • Fulton Bank
  • InFirst Bank
  • OceanFirst Bank
  • PNC Bank
  • WSFS Bank
  • Bank of America
  • Marion Center Bank
