Fundraisers
• St. James Church, New Alexandria, will host its 13th annual car show and spaghetti dinner noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the church, 306 St. James Lane. Rain or shine. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Vehicle fee is by donation. Dinner cost: $13; 10 and younger, $5. Food and drinks will be sold on the grounds, and there will be a DJ, basket raffle, instant bingo and 50-50. Details: 724-668-2829, opt. 3.

History
• Baltzer Meyer Historical Society will sponsor a program, “Metaphysics and the Paranormal: The Science Behind the Haunt,” 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Harrold Hall, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg. Jay Blackburn will be the speaker.
