Alisha Edwards wants her new store — Trendy Bunny on South Pennsylvania Avenue — to showcase the best Greensburg has to offer.
“We’ve taken the talents of Greensburg and brought them in here,” Edwards said.
The boutique focuses on children’s clothing and features items from local creators as well national and international brands. Hundreds of people attended this month’s grand opening.
Edwards has sold children’s clothing online since 2016.
Last year, she started working out of an office, but Edwards said local customers kept asking for a brick-and-mortar store.
She described the boutique as three businesses in one: Trendy Bunny, which also houses Theteelife, a custom apparel business owned by Lacey Douds, and Little Gray House, a custom sign studio owned by Jennifer Redinger.
“It’s three women, three businesses, one place,” Edwards said.
She plans to host regular community events at The Trendy Bunny. More than 40 kids attended the first children’s story time.
The Trendy Bunny is the third — and final — business to open at 136 S. Pennsylvania, which was vacant until City Cribs LLC bought the 3-story building last year and spent more than $1 million on renovations. It joins Wight Elephant Boutique and the Downtown Greensburg Project.
City Cribs turned the upper floors of the building into apartments.
