A Sewickley Township man ordered last month to be released from jail to inpatient treatment in connection with an incident involving his neighbor was arrested Thursday night after state police said he lit a fire outside of a home in his neighborhood, according to court papers.
Kurtis C. Baker, 33, also is accused of dousing his neighbor, two houses and four vehicles with hydraulic fluid, police said.
Troopers were called to Yukon Road at 11 p.m. and spoke with several neighbors. Baker was taken into custody on charges of burglary, arson, reckless endangerment and related offenses. He was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $100,000 bail.
He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. An Oct. 28 preliminary hearing is set.
Baker pleaded guilty in September to charges of terroristic threats, criminal mischief and drug possession in connection with a July 27 incident during which he reportedly charged at his neighbor with a knife. He was sentenced to six to 23 months in jail and ordered to be released to inpatient treatment. It was unclear when he was released from incarceration.
