The second annual Seven Years’ War Symposium at Fort Ligonier will focus on the theme “The Soldier.”

Scheduled for April 13-14 at the Fort Ligonier Center for History Education, the symposium will include presentations by Maria Alessandra Bollettino, Alex Burns, Michael Galban, Fred Lucas and William Raffle.

Often called the first world war, the Seven Years’ War involved many of the great European powers of the 18th century and included the French and Indian War — during which Fort Ligonier was an active British Army fort (1758-66).

Early-bird registrations are being accepted through Friday . Cost is $75 for members of the Fort Ligonier Association and $90 for nonmembers. Walk-in registrations are $95 for members, $110 for nonmembers.

To register by credit card, call 724-238-9701 or email: cgross@fortligonier.org. To register by mail, send a check to: Fort Ligonier Association, Fort Ligonier, 200 S. Market St., Ligonier, PA 15658.
