A New Stanton man is facing a preliminary hearing Wednesday on state police accusations that he harassed his former attorney and the Westmoreland County district attorney.

Troopers said Gerard Dorundo, 65, banged on the doors and windows of his former attorney’s office in Adamsburg for about 10 minutes Nov. 8 while yelling profanities. Later that day, he is accused of contacting District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli 13 times in nine minutes on her personal cell phone, police said.

Dorundo also contacted someone in Ziccarelli’s neighborhood, according to a state police press release. Chief county Detective Ron Zona told him to stop, but was unsuccessful.

“Dorundo related that he has business with the district attorney and refused to stop calling until he spoke to her,” troopers said in a news release.

He is charged with misdemeanor counts of harassment and disorderly conduct. He was denied bail and was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison. He did not have an attorney listed in the case.

Dorundo had been free on $500 unsecured bail on charges of communication with 911, harassment and disorderly conduct.
