Penn Township police this week charged a McKeesport man with posting partially nude photographs of woman on social media.

Det. Brad Buchsbaum charged Shawn Himich Jr., 24, with 12 counts each of dissemination of intimate materials and illegally transmitting obscene and sexual materials.

Buchsbaum said in court documents the woman, who lives in the township, reported that she had broken off a relationship with Himich and received a text message from him, “I posted your pic.”

She told police that, after receiving the message from Himich, she began receiving phone calls from acquaintances that they had each received inappropriate photographs of her via Facebook.

According to court records, Buchsbaum obtained a search warrant for Himich’s Facebook account that showed evidence that he sent the obscene photographs.

“The conversation (sent with the photographs) was that Himich was mad at (the woman) and so he sent out the pictures because she hurt his feelings,” Buchsbaum said in court documents.

Himich was served the complaint via mailed summons. A hearing is tentatively scheduled Feb. 23.

He could not be reached for comment and did not have an attorney listed in court documents.
