New course record set at annual Greensburg Turkey Trot

An Elizabeth Forward High School student set a new course record at the 32nd annual Greensburg Turkey Trot.

Patrick Burgos, 17, came in first in the Thanksgiving run with time of 15 minutes, 33 seconds.

Burgos recently signed to run track and field and cross-country at Youngstown State University in Ohio. He placed third at the 2023 PIAA AA state cross-country championships.

Rounding out the top 10 overall finishers: Noah Calisti, 21 (16:57); Dominic Smith, 34 (17:26); Brandon Melillo, 29 (17:34); Nathan Kociela, 17 (17:44); Joey Hawley, 35 (17:45); Owen Noel, 16 (17:51); Jacob Rzempoluch, 22 (18:00); Luke Snyder, 38 (18:15) and Shaun Walker, 18 (18:32).

The top three female finishers were Emerson Skatell, 17 (19:12); Sarah Fowler, 28 (19:15) and Amy Moody, 43 (20:13).
