Two women told Jeannette police they gave a man a ride only to have him pull out a handgun and threaten to shoot one of them because she blocked him on social media.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Jamar “Philly” McIntosh, 42, of Jeannette on charges of reckless endangerment, simple assault and terroristic threats in connection with the Nov. 11 incident.
According to court documents, the woman said she was in a car with another woman and picked up McIntosh on Nov. 11 on South Sixth Street near the ambulance station. The women said McIntosh got into the back seat of the vehicle and asked to be dropped off several blocks away on Patton Avenue.
During the trip, one woman said, McIntosh pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at her head, “saying she was stupid for blocking him and not to talk reckless about him.”
The woman told police McIntosh put the handgun back in his waistband, pulled out a ski mask and put it on his face before he got out of the car and ran off.
The second woman in the car corroborated the incident and provided police with a written statement, according to Officer Zachary Burger.
McIntosh is described as a Black male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 135 pounds.
According to court dockets, McIntosh has an extensive criminal record in the county dating back to 2007. He has been convicted of multiple assaults, resisting arrest and minor drug violations, according to court records.
On Sept. 9, he pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and providing Jeannette police with a false identification and was sentenced to serve one month in jail.
