A Kiski Township man fired shots inside his home during a potential burglary, township police reported.

Chief Lee Bartolicius said officers responded to the call for a burglary along the 1400 block of Ridge Road around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers learned the homeowner fired several shots inside, but no one was struck.

Bartolicius declined to release any information about possible suspects or vehicles involved in the incident.

He said the man’s girlfriend was taken to a hospital for an unrelated medical issue. She was in stable condition.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact police at 724-478-3357.
