Arnold police arrested a man after his parole officer reported she saw evidence of drug dealing when she visited his home, according to his arrest papers.
Vernon Allan Daniels Jr., 34, of the 1900 block of Ridge Avenue was charged with three felony counts of possession with the intent to deliver along and six related drug charges.
He was ordered to stand trial on the charges in Westmoreland County during a preliminary hearing Dec. 1 before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr., according to court records.
Police wrote in a criminal complaint that officers were asked to assist a state parole agent March 8 after she found a number of stamp bags and rubber bands on the floor while checking his house, the complaint said.
Daniels agreed to let police search the house, according to the complaint, where they allegedly found 168 stamp bags of heroin marked with the name Playstation; about 1,000 empty stamp bags, including a number of them marked Super Gremlin; a money counter; and a handful of Suboxone strips and illegal prescription drugs.
Suboxone is a brand name for the prescription drug buprenorphine, which is used to treat opioid addiction. It is a controlled substance.
A woman who was living in the home with Daniels initially was charged with the same crimes as Daniels, but the charges were later withdrawn.
Police, however, took Marki Marie Seezox, 32, into custody after learning there was a warrant for her arrest, the complaint said.
Seezox was ordered to stand trial in March 2021 on a felony drug charge filed by state police in Butler County, according to court records.
The docket shows she repeatedly failed to appear for scheduled hearings at the courthouse in Butler and that a bench warrant for her arrest was issued in December 2021.
Daniels was detained in the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond after his arrest in late November, court records show.
His bond was reduced to 10% of $25,000 during his preliminary hearing.
In January 2018, Daniels pleaded guilty in Butler County to a felony count of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver and was sentenced to 15 months to three years in prison.
In 2016, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug possession charge in Butler County and received a year of probation.
