Parks Township police charged a woman with multiple felonies after investigators accused her of stealing nearly $10,000 from her father by using his checking and savings accounts to buy merchandise, withdraw cash and forge checks without his permission.

Jacqueline M. Kromka, 35, of the 3200 block of River Road, Kiski Township was charged with felony counts of forgery, identity theft, access device fraud and theft by deception, according to a criminal complaint.

Police wrote in the complaint charging Kromka that between April 7 and June 8, 2021, she cashed six checks from her father’s account totaling $2,675.

Kromka also is accused of withdrawing $3,500 from her father’s savings account on June 12, 2021 to buy a dog, according to the complaint.

Police say that between June 27 and July 23, 2021, Kromka made six withdrawals from banks and ATM machines in Murrysville and Vandergrift totaling $2,630, police said.

Video surveillance from the banks identify Kromka as the person who made the withdrawals, the complaint said.

Investigators said Kromka also billed the purchase of $828 worth of weight-loss products to her father’s account in November 2020 and bought pet supplies and eyeglasses with her father’s money, the complaint said.

Investigators said Kromka’s father never gave her permission to use his accounts for purchases or withdrawals, which totaled $9,941.

Kromka was released from custody after posting a $10,000 unsecured bond, according to court records. She faces a preliminary hearing before District Judge James Andring on July 20.
