New Kensington-Arnold School District students will be dismissed early Wednesday because of high temperatures, district officials announced Tuesday evening.

All schools will operate on a two-hour early dismissal schedule and students will be at their bus stops earlier than usual, according to a post on the district’s Facebook page.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh say temperatures are expected to reach 94 degrees with a 30% chance of thunderstorms.
