Frazer police have filed charges against a Harrison man accused of stealing more than $3,000 worth of items from the Pittsburgh Mills Lowe’s and a man’s truck in the parking lot.

Terrance Guy Cichello, 49, is charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and theft from a motor vehicle — all felonies — and a misdemeanor offense of receiving stolen property, according to court records.

Cichello was unable to post $5,000 bond and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled Feb. 12 before District Judge Michael J. Girardi.

Frazer police say in court papers they were dispatched Jan. 7 to the Lowe’s Home Improvement store for a report of a theft from a vehicle. A man told police that a tool box containing about $650 worth of items was stolen from his utility truck. He told police his truck’s storage components were unlocked.

Through an investigation, police identified Cichello as the suspect. They later learned that Cichello had stolen merchandise from Lowe’s just before the theft from the truck as well as two days prior.

According to the complaint, Cichello stole four items totaling $866 from Lowe’s on Jan. 5.

On Jan. 7, police said Cichello stole 13 items totaling nearly $1,600 from the store before taking the items from the truck.

Police wrote in the complaint that they saw Cichello steal the items from the store by viewing surveillance footage.
