A section of Butler Logan Road was reopened Monday morning following a fuel spill on Sunday, according to emergency officials.
Frazer firefighters stopped traffic just past the rear entrance to the Pittsburgh Mills shopping complex, and eventually PennDOT work crews took over.
According to firefighters, a large amount of absorbent necessary to clean up the spill left the road hazardous for traffic.
No information was available on the cause of the spill.
Butler Logan is a state road. Around 9 p.m. Sunday, a PennDOT spokesperson said the agency called its scheduled nightly broom crew out early to help with the cleanup.
A section of the road between the Frazer No. 2 fire station and Yutes Run Road was reopened as of 6:15 a.m. Monday, according to an Allegheny County 911 supervisor.
No information on the cause of the spill or exactly what was spilled was immediately available. A Frazer police officer was not permitted to provide any information, other than to say late Sunday that the road would be closed until further notice.
