People can toss their old computers, cellphones and gaming consoles during an e-waste collection at Freeport Area Middle School.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 19.
Hosted by Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania (ASWP) and the Pennsylvania Resources Council, the recycling initiative was identified as a priority in the Buffalo Creek Watershed Conservation Plan 10-Year update, completed by ASWP in 2019.

“This event is part of ASWP’s work to help to support a healthy habitat and environmental stewardship,” Audubon’s Sarah Koenig said.
Helping to keep forests, hillsides and streams clean is a core part of their mission, she said.
More than 160 people already are registered.
There will be a fee to discard TVs, computer monitors and printers. Costs range from $2 for fluorescent tubes to $40 for console TVs.
Cellphones, computer towers and other equipment such as keyboards and laptops can be dropped off for free.
Batteries, VHS tapes and DVDs will not be accepted.
The e-waste event will be followed on July 24 with a household hazardous waste collection, also at Freeport Area Middle School.
There, people can dispose of paint, gas, oil and fire extinguishers, among other items.
Both collections are open to the public.
PRC Interim Managing Director Sarah Alessio Shea said people are asked to wear face coverings and stay in their vehicles while items are unloaded.
Electronics for drop-off should be piled in the trunk or truck bed.
