A Brackenridge man charged in an early Saturday morning stabbing also faces drug charges after police searched his home, according to court records.
Tarentum police filed five felony and two misdemeanor drug offenses against Brandon Bowman, 45.
Bowman is accused of stabbing a man in the back in the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue early Saturday morning. He had fled the scene and was found about two and a half hours later nearby in the 1100 block of Parkside Drive.
While searching Bowman’s home, officers encountered what they believed to be narcotics packaged for delivery. The search was stopped and a second search warrant was obtained, a criminal complaint says.
In the master bedroom, police reported finding two firearms, about 4.55 ounces of cocaine, about 4.59 ounces of marijuana, about 31 oxycontin pills, about 25 Vicodin pills, five Tramadol pills and four Xanax pills.
Also found were scales and packaging materials, various types of drug paraphernalia and $904 in cash, the complaint states.
Bowman was arraigned in both cases Saturday. He was denied bail in the stabbing case and being held in the Allegheny County Jail. His bail on the drug charges was set at $25,000, according to court records.
His preliminary hearings in both cases are scheduled for Aug. 27 before District Judge Carolyn S. Bengel.
