Part of Freeport Road between Powers Run Road in O’Hara and the Hulton Bridge in Harmar was closed for two hours Friday afternoon due to a two-vehicle crash.

Calls for a crash near the intersection of Freeport and Powers Run roads came in shortly after 4:30 p.m., according to an Allegheny County 911 dispatcher.

O’Hara police Superintendent Jay Davis said one patient was taken to UPMC Mercy hospital and another taken to Allegheny General Hospital. Both suffered with blunt force injuries of unknown severity.

Davis said one vehicle crossed the center of the roadway striking another vehicle.

Harmar police responded to the scene, the dispatcher said. The road reopened shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Davis said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
