The South Park Wave Pool will open Friday after delays caused by concrete installation and other upkeep.
The pool is still hiring lifeguards at a starting rate of $16 an hour.
Lifeguard candidates must be at least 15 years old, have current lifeguard and CPR certifications and pass an aquatics test. Training is available for applicants without certification.
Allegheny County spokeswoman Amie Downs said the renovations were necessary before opening.
Boyce Park Wave Pool, North Park Swimming Pool and Settlers Cabin Park Wave Pool opened on June 4.
Daily pool admission rates change depending on age and residency, with prices ranging between $1 for infants and $6 for young adults. There are discounts available for groups of 20 or more who call the pool 24 hours in advance
Daily hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. through Labor Day.
