Jefferson Hills police said a man who fled from his second traffic stop in three months in late January was taken into custody Wednesday evening.

He was transported to Allegheny County Jail.

Police were searching for Thomas W. Hanbury, 32, of the South Hills, who fled on foot from police on Wednesday afternoon.

Hanbury fled from a Feb. 1 traffic stop as well as a November 2023 traffic stop, according to court documents. There are multiple warrants out for his arrest.

The November charges include resisting arrest, evading arrest, hindering apprehension, loitering and traffic violations.

Charges from last week’s traffic stop included evading arrest, reckless driving and additional traffic violations.
