State police are seeking information on a man who allegedly attempted to lure an 11-year-old boy toward a vehicle in northern Indiana County on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said an unknown Black man in his 30s with short hair, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and a bandana or facial covering attempted to lure the boy into a vehicle around 4 p.m. Tuesday, along Washington Church Road in Rayne Township.

The boy went home and told his parents, who notified police.

The suspect was reported to be driving a black Toyota sedan that fled toward Route 119. Police said it may have damage to its passenger side.

Anyone with information is asked to call Troop A at 724-357-1960.
