A pregnant woman died after being pulled from a house fire early Friday in Washington County.

Elrama Volunteer Fire Department said in a social media post that the woman was 23 weeks pregnant. Fire Chief Lenny Bailey identified her as Sabrina Boyle, 19, according to Trib news partner WTAE.

The fire was reported around 4 a.m. at the Fairview Street home of a firefighter’s family, according to the post. The firefighter and his parents were able to escape the flames uninjured.

A firefighter who went inside to rescue Boyle was hurt and taken to a hospital burn unit for treatment, authorities said.

Elrama firefighters are collecting clothing items for the three adults who escaped.

The home was destroyed. A fire marshal is investigating the cause.
