A man died following a crash Monday evening in Armstrong County.

TribLive news partner WTAE reports a 60-year-old driver was killed in the crash in Parker, while his passenger was flown to a local hospital.

The crash occurred a little after 5 p.m. Monday along North River Avenue.

Police said Brian Ochs of Silgo was traveling northbound when he struck a guardrail and then crossed into the southbound lane of the road, hitting another vehicle, reports WTAE.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to police.

The Armstrong County coroner said Ochs was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and his vehicle was believed to be traveling at a high rate of speed, reports WTAE.
