An Armstrong County man was convicted of third-degree murder for delivery of drugs that resulted in a fatal overdose four years ago, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

Nathan R. Wolfe, 41, of Kittanning was convicted Thursday of providing crack cocaine laced with fentanyl to Eric McMillen, who died from an overdose in February 2020.

Wolfe delivered the drugs to McMillen and McMillen’s girlfriend in exchange for use of Wolfe’s vehicle, according to a release from the state Attorney General’s Office. The transaction occurred in a supermarket parking in the county.

A witness previously testified that Wolfe knew the cocaine was laced with fentanyl when he delivered the drugs, which resulted in two additional nonfatal overdoses, according to the release.

Wolfe is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 20 by Judge Chase McClister. The case was investigated by Armstrong County District Attorney Detective Brian Wolfe and local and state police.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Evan Lowry and Deputy Attorney General Daniel Gleixner.
