A Grove City man has been sentenced to 17 years and 6 months in federal prison for producing child pornography.

Matthew Switzer, 33, coerced a 4-year-old girl to engage in sexually explicit conduct several times to create at least 13 pornographic photos, according to U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady.

The photographs were later discovered by the girl’s mother and forensically retrieved from Switzer’s Gmail account by the state police and FBI.

Switzer faces numerous state charges in Mercer County, which allege, among other things, that he also sexually assaulted another girl, according to Brady.

Switzer additionally was sentenced to 20 years of supervised release.
