Waiting is the hardest part.

Especially at amusement parks on hot summer days, where people can wait for more than an hour for a minutes-long ride on a popular roller coaster.

Cedar Point, the huge amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, is offering roller coaster enthusiasts the chance to skip the waiting and ride all season long.

It will only cost you about $1,000.

Season pass holders can buy an “All-Season Fast Lane” package for $849. That’s on top of the $146 a regular season pass costs or the $218 a “platinum pass” will set you back.

The new passes go on sale April 23, and the park is promoting them on its website and Facebook page.

It can be broken up into a $249 initial payment and five payments of $120 after that.

That adds up to as much as $1,067 (plus applicable taxes and fees) for a platinum pass and the fast lane upgrade. To get your money’s worth with that option, you’ll need to make nine trips to the park once it opens May 11.

The park sells a limited number of “Fast Lane” tickets each day that allows people to bypass the regular line for a shorter, faster-moving line on more than 20 of its more popular rides for an upcharge.

There’s still a line in the “Fast Lane” but because the park controls how many upgraded tickets it sells each day, the line is shorter than the one regular admission goers wait in.

People who comment on online message boards say the upgrade is worth the money.

Single day admission to Cedar Point costs $49.99 or $122.99 for admission plus what it calls the “Fast Lane Plus.”

Cedar Point is about 190 miles — a three-hour drive — from Pittsburgh.

Closer to home, Kennywood in West Mifflin offers season passes that range from $99.99 to $144.99 and regular tickets that are $49.99 on weekdays and $54.99 on weekends.
