The driver of a motorcycle was in critical condition after it collided with a vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln Place neighborhood Saturday morning.

Crews responded to the intersection of Mifflin and Mooney roads shortly before 10 a.m. for reports of the crash, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz.

Crews found the motorcycle rider and his bike over a ravine and in a creek. According to a tweet from Allegheny County, Pittsburgh EMS and firefighters began a rope rescue.

The motorcycle driver, who was not identified, was transported to the hospital.

According to Cruz, the driver of the vehicle was not injured and stayed on scene.

The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
