Police: Man shot at gas station in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood

A man is recovering at a hospital after being shot at a gas station in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Public Safety spokesperson Maurice Matthews said the victim was in stable condition after the incident around 2:45 p.m. at the BP station along the 1900 block of Brownsville Road.

Matthews said the man showed up to a hospital via private vehicle. No suspect description was given.

News partner WPXI reported a bullet struck a nearby pizza shop. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
