A man suffered a small puncture wound to his ribcage area and was taken to the hospital following an overnight aggravated assault that happened in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood.

At approximately 4:15 a.m., Zone 2 officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Butler Street for a reported aggravated assault, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety via Facebook.

A man had walked into a business to call the police, the post said.

Medics transported the injured man to the hospital in stable condition, according to the post. He was “largely uncooperative with police” as to where the aggravated assault had occurred.

Pittsburgh police are investigating the incident.
