Pittsburgh man facing multiple court cases arrested in Uniontown

A Pittsburgh man facing charges in cases out of McKeesport, Pittsburgh and Mercer County was arrested Thursday in Uniontown.

Officers took Samuel Kirkland, 22, into custody without incident at an address in Greenpoint Circle in Uniontown.

According to a release from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, Kirkland was sought for a probation violation and “direct criminal contempt” of Allegheny County Common Pleas’ Family Division.

In addition, Kirkland was charged with aggravated assault in McKeesport in September; gun charges, including theft of a handgun, in Pittsburgh in December, and assault, theft, and firearms charges in Mercer County from last month.

Kirkland was taken in by Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office detectives and state police.

He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh.
