A Verona teenager was arrested Thursday for allegedly shooting another teenager in Wilkins last week , Allegheny County Police said.

Shawn Nazier Frye-Culbreth, 16, is charged as an adult with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, theft of a motor vehicle, theft, receiving stolen property, firearms violations and criminal conspiracy in connection to the Jan. 24 shooting, police said.

Police were called to the 100 block of Ivy Street shortly after 8:45 p.m. for a report of shots fired and a man shot.

When officers arrived, they learned that a 17-year-old male had been shot in the right shoulder and lower right abdomen.

Detectives investigating the shooting determined that one of the people involved was Frye-Culbreth, and subsequently obtained a warrant and arrested him Thursday.
