Police are investigating a shooting Friday afternoon on a residential street in Penn Hills, officials said.

No one was reported injured, Penn Hills police Chief Howard Burton said.

Residents called 911 and told police they heard a series of gunshots fired shortly after 3 p.m. near Mark Drive and Grove Road, Burton said.

Officers responded but could not find any evidence of the incident, Burton said. They could not find anyone who witnessed the shooting.

No surveillance footage was available on the residential street, Burton said.

Police continue to investigate.

Officials asked anyone who may have information about the incident to call 911.
